   I recently bought some studio headphones for my home studio(AKG K 702) to be exact.. but when I hear music on my Sony VAIO laptop with them it does not go loud enough. I bought a headphone amplifier too so that it could boost the headphones volume up.. but it only distorts the sound. Do u know of something that I could buy in order to make the headphones work perfectly? Would this make them work?

   I have a compaq laptop that has an external display port (VGA). I connected a VGA to video out adapter to that port and ran a RCA (not component) cable to the input on my TV.
